Following on from what we learned so far, we had to storyboard the ball and tail rig we were given to cover all of the Principles of Animation that we've learnt.
Initially, i thought animating the ball would be easy because we already animated balls in the past lesson, however, i found it really difficult with the tail as i realized the tail didn't have that much flexibility than i originally thought. It was really confusing with the different parts affecting and moving the tail; even shrinking and enlargening it; and my final render movie above shows that something went wrong with the rig when i started to render out my work.
This is the final outcome of my Ball and Tail sequence. I managed to fix the rig and i rendered it again, with the fixed rig.
I started to look at references to cat tails just to see how they move in relation to the rest of the body. For the ball and tail rig, the tail had to be lifeless like a piece of string, so seeing how a cat tail moves can show the follow through action needed for the lifeless tail.
