Final Piece

Critical Reflection

I thoroughly enjoyed the whole process of our Snow Queen project. It was really nice to see how much I've progressed in terms of my skills animating images etc. It was nice to get to grips with the basics of After Effects, and using it to make a reveal writing for my part of the sequence. I want to learn a lot more about this programme and fully get to grips with some of the animation effects that I haven't used yet.
Throughout the project, one of the things I found difficult to use was Maya. Maya Test It was fun to learn, but I didn't pay as much attention as I would have liked, due to my time being put into this project a lot more.

Re Vamp of beginning Sequence

This is new background for the title sequence. Instead of the aged parchment look, we decided that it would be better to go with watercolour background that'll fit better with our colour scheme.

Background designs

Just a few watercolour background tests I did in Photoshop, using a couple of filters.

Mock Ups

I was messing around in Photoshop with these images just to create a mock up of Yuki Onna and to visualize what she would have looked at.

Colour Palette

From our group discussions we talked about the overall colour palette we would be using for our piece. Seeing as our title for the piece is Snow Queen and is based on the Japanese legend of Yuki Onna, it made sense for piece to be made up of mostly cool/cold colours, with the background being very monochrome.
